Hi, I’m Liz

I believe a poem can sometimes tell the truth faster than a presentation. I believe adults need crayons, movement, music, Play-Doh, and permission to be ridiculous. I believe sadness and humor can sit at the same table. I believe your story can be real without being finished.

I’m still learning, too.

For a long time, I was very good at being the “good adult.”

I got really good at being capable, useful, responsible, and needed. I cared for people, solved problems, and kept moving. From the outside, my life probably looked like it was working just fine.

But somewhere between doing what was expected of me and caring for everyone else, I became harder to find inside my own life.

What I didn’t know was how to hear myself.

To trust what lived beneath all that thinking. To make room for the unanswered. To let joy be enough.

The return was not tidy.

It came through therapy and journaling. Learning about my nervous system.

Poems, movement, grief, play, and questions I didn’t always want to ask.

Slowly, the old stories began to loosen.

I wasn’t becoming someone new. I was learning to meet the person who had been there all along.

Education & Embodiment grew from that return.

Knowing is not the same as living

Nursing and school wellness taught me the value of clear, accessible information. My life taught me its limits.

We can understand something and still not know how to live it. Sometimes learning needs a body. A story. A question. A laugh. A room where no one has it all figured out.

That’s the kind of space I try to create through workshops, speaking, writing, ceremonies, and resources.

Different forms, same invitation:
come closer.

Pay attention. Make room for the strange, unfinished experience of being human.

“Liz reminds me that life doesn’t have to be so serious and that playfulness is still at our core, no matter how much life gets in the way.”

Kelsie

“Her humor and ability to make someone smile are the best. Liz is intentional with the people she has known her whole life, the friends she has made, and the people she has just met.”

Natalie

A little of what I bring with me

My full name is Elizabeth Trudeau, but Liz is just fine.

My path has moved through rural emergency rooms, school wellness, writing, workshops, movement, and ceremony. I earned my BSN in 2022 and have spent four years as a rural ER nurse and another year working in school wellness.

Along the way, I’ve become certified in ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, and BLS. I’m also currently making my way through a 200-hour yoga teacher training and have facilitated workshops and experiences with Treehouse Yoga Studio and Innergize.

I’m based in Michigan for now and work virtually with people across the country. I’m also happy to travel when the work calls for being in the same room.
